King’s Fall contains a hidden Deepsight puzzle that rewards an additional guaranteed Deepsight raid weapon at the end of the raid.
To unlock the chest, players must identify three Hive symbols near the beginning of the raid and activate the matching symbols throughout the remainder of the activity.
The symbols change each raid instance, meaning the correct activations must be determined every time the raid is launched.
The puzzle begins during The Portal traversal section immediately after Hall of Souls.
Before progressing deeper into the Dreadnaught, look for a wall displaying several Hive symbols.
Three of these symbols will be illuminated.
These illuminated symbols determine which activations must be completed throughout the raid.
The symbols are random each run.
Players should record the symbols or assign a player to remember them before continuing.
As the raid progresses, hidden activation plates can be found throughout King’s Fall.
Whenever one of the symbols from the opening room appears, interact with it to register progress toward the Deepsight chest.
Only the symbols that match the three revealed at the beginning of the raid should be activated.
Activating an incorrect symbol will fail the puzzle and prevent the chest from spawning.
Because symbol locations vary throughout the raid, communication is essential.
The matching symbols can appear throughout the raid, including areas before and after major encounters.
Many are hidden in side passages, traversal sections, or locations that players normally pass without noticing.
Teams pursuing the bonus chest should remain attentive whenever entering a new area.
After activating all three correct symbols, continue through King’s Fall normally and defeat Oryx, the Taken King.
The puzzle remains active for the current raid instance.
After Oryx has been defeated, a bonus chest appears near the final reward area.
Opening the chest grants an additional guaranteed Deepsight King’s Fall weapon.
This reward is separate from the normal encounter loot and is one of the most reliable methods of earning weapon patterns from the raid.
The bonus Deepsight chest should be completed every week whenever possible.
Because crafted raid weapons require multiple Deepsight extractions, the guaranteed pattern progress provided by the chest significantly reduces the amount of farming required.
Players pursuing every King’s Fall weapon pattern should make the Deepsight puzzle part of their normal raid routine.
