Divinity is the Exotic Trace Rifle associated with Garden of Salvation.
Unlike most raid Exotics, Divinity is not obtained through a random drop. Instead, players must complete the Divine Fragmentation quest and solve a series of hidden puzzles throughout a single Garden of Salvation raid run.
Once all puzzles have been completed and the Sanctified Mind has been defeated, players can claim Divinity from a special chest near the end of the raid.
Because puzzle progress is tied to the active raid instance, all puzzles must be completed during the same run.
Before entering Garden of Salvation, players must obtain the Divine Fragmentation Exotic quest.
The quest begins on the Moon and requires players to investigate a strange Vex signal before progressing through several objectives.
Complete all quest steps leading up to Garden of Salvation before attempting the raid.
Players who have not reached the Garden of Salvation portion of the quest cannot receive Divinity.
Garden of Salvation contains seven hidden tether puzzles.
Each puzzle requires the fireteam to connect tether chains between players and activate specific Vex devices.
The puzzles must be completed in order and all seven must be solved during the same raid instance.
If the raid instance is abandoned before completion, the puzzles must be completed again.
The first puzzle is located at the very beginning of the raid before Evade the Consecrated Mind.
Activate the puzzle and form the required tether chain to complete the objective.
Once successful, a confirmation message appears and the next puzzle becomes available.
The second puzzle is located after Evade the Consecrated Mind and before Summon the Consecrated Mind.
Form the required tether chain between players and activate the Vex device.
Communication and positioning are the keys to success.
The third puzzle is located within the Undergrowth traversal section.
Navigate to the puzzle location and complete the required tether sequence.
Once complete, continue progressing through the raid.
The fourth puzzle is located before Consecrated Mind, Sol Inherent.
Activate the puzzle mechanism and complete the tether configuration.
Verify completion before beginning the encounter.
The fifth puzzle is located after Consecrated Mind, Sol Inherent.
Complete the tether sequence and confirm the puzzle has registered successfully.
The sixth puzzle is located during the traversal section leading toward Sanctified Mind, Sol Inherent.
Coordinate player positioning carefully and complete the required tether chain.
The final puzzle is located immediately before the end of the raid.
Complete the final tether puzzle before defeating Sanctified Mind, Sol Inherent.
After the final puzzle has been completed successfully, the Divinity reward chest becomes available.
After all seven puzzles have been completed, finish the raid normally by defeating Sanctified Mind, Sol Inherent.
No additional mechanics are required during the encounter itself.
The puzzle progress remains active for the current raid instance.
After defeating Sanctified Mind, proceed to the special reward area near the end of the raid.
Interact with the Divinity chest to complete the quest and receive the Exotic Trace Rifle.
Any player on the appropriate quest step who participated in the completed puzzle sequence can claim the weapon.
Divinity creates a large critical hit cage around targets that are continuously damaged by the beam.
This allows teammates to deal precision damage more easily, even against enemies that are difficult to hit consistently.
Targets affected by Divinity become more vulnerable to incoming damage, making the weapon one of the strongest support tools in Destiny 2.
Divinity remains one of the most valuable support weapons in Destiny 2.
Its ability to create an enlarged critical hit area and improve team damage output makes it useful in raids, dungeons, and many endgame activities.
Although obtaining the weapon requires completing a lengthy quest and multiple raid puzzles, the reward is well worth the effort for players who regularly participate in group content.
At this time, Divinity does not have an Exotic catalyst available in Destiny 2.
However, Bungie has announced that a Divinity catalyst will be added as part of the June 9 update.
The exact acquisition method, catalyst objectives, and catalyst perks have not yet been revealed.
Once the update launches, this guide will be updated with complete instructions on how to obtain and complete the Divinity catalyst, including any raid-specific requirements that may be associated with unlocking it.
