The Ghosts of the Deep dungeon in Destiny 2 was released during Season of the Deep in May 2023, taking Guardians beneath the methane oceans of Titan. Set within the ruins of a long-lost Golden Age facility, the dungeon explores a haunting fusion of Hive ritual and forgotten human technology, as players uncover a disturbing alliance forming deep below the surface. Guided by Sloane and the enigmatic influence of the deep, Guardians descend into darkness where ancient forces stir and secrets long buried begin to resurface.

As a three-player endgame activity, Ghosts of the Deep challenges fireteams with layered mechanics involving runes, Light-based interactions, and intense underwater traversal. Players will face powerful Hive enemies and corrupted foes, culminating in encounters against formidable bosses such as Ecthar, Shield of Savathûn and Simmumah ur-Nokru. With its atmospheric setting, demanding mechanics, and rewarding loot—including unique armor and weapons—the dungeon delivers a tense and immersive experience that stands out among Destiny 2’s endgame activities.
