Necrochasm is the Exotic Auto Rifle tied to Crota’s End.

Unlike most raid exotics, Necrochasm is earned through a quest rather than relying entirely on random drops.

Throughout Crota’s End, players earn Essence of the Oversoul from encounter completions, triumphs, challenges, and various raid objectives.

These Essences are used to progress the quest and eventually unlock Necrochasm.

Additional Essence of the Oversoul can be earned by completing encounter challenges, triumphs tied to the Swordbearer title, and Master difficulty objectives.

Once obtained, Necrochasm can be upgraded further through its catalyst quest.

Because the weapon requires a substantial amount of Essence of the Oversoul, players often continue completing challenges and triumphs even after obtaining the weapon itself.
